Pineville, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Guilford College 2-1 in men's soccer on Thursday night.
The Wildcats struck first, as
Dominik Danko fired a shot past Guilford Ildis Vital-Peraza just short of the half hour mark. The Quakers answered six minutes later to knot the score on a Chase Lewis goal. The game settled in from that point, as the Wildcats enjoyed an 11-7 advantage in shots, but neither team could find a finish. Guilford committed a foul inside their penalty area with 9:23 left on the clock and
Niklas Seguin was able to convert the ensuing penalty kick for the eventual game winning goal. JWU was able to see out the remaining time with little threat from the Quakers.
Danko had three shots, with two of them on frame.

The Wildcats return home on Sunday, October 4th for a 3:00pm game against Virginia State.
