Greenville, S.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Bob Jones 72-67 in women's basketball on Tuesday night.
 

Highlights:

• JWU took a 15-9 lead after the first quarter. The Wildcats made 6 of 15 field goals including 2 of 6 three point attempts.
• After Bob Jones trimmed one point off that lead in the second period, JWU reasserted control with 27 points in the third quarter to build a 13 point advantage.
• The hosts used a 20-9 run over the first eight minutes of the final stanza to pull within two points at 63-61
• Korletta Daniels made a three pointer on JWU's next possession and the Wildcats didn't look back from that point.

• The Wildcats made 9 of 21 three point attempts.
• Bob Jones outrebounded JWU by one, but committed 6 more miscues than the Wildcats.
• Five Wildcats scored in double-figures, led by 15 each from Daniels and Maliah Preston.
• Laylah Toscano scored 13, while Gabby Bryant and Laken Powe had 11 points each.
