Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Christendom 66-39 in women's basketball on Saturday afternoon.

Sydney Wells made three pointers for JWU's first two baskets and the Wildcats never looked back from that point. JWU made ten three's on the afternoon, tying their season best. Wells, the team's lone senior who was honored prior to tip-off, made half of those on her way to scoring 17 points.Â
The Wildcats led 34-21 at half, and by as many as 29 in the second as they held the Crusaders to just 20.3% shooting on the afternoon.
Laylah Toscano posted her twelfth double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Maliah Preston had 9 assists.
JWU wraps up the regular season on Saturday, February 21st when they travel to Warren Wilson for a 1pm tipoff.
