Brevard, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte traveled to Brevard College for its first ever baseball games on February 7th and 8th. The Tornados won the three games by scores of 17-8, 8-0, and 14-4.
The Wildcats scored 7 runs in the top of the second of Saturday's first game to take a lead over Brevard, and held that advantage until the Tornados struck for three runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Brevard's Matthew Evans and Kalen Milstead combined to hold JWU to just three hits in the second game of Saturday's twin bill.
The Wildcats scored two in both the third and fourth innings to nose ahead of Brevard 4-3, before eventually falling 14-4.

Logan Howland got the first hit in program history, and also scored the 1st run.Â
Nick Jiminian records the first RBI in program history.
Leo Justen got the 1st strike out on the mound in program history
Stetson Stack records the first successful stolen base in program history.
Marco Fernandez and
Sami Nezaj each collected three hits across the weekend. Those two, along with Stestson Stack also had two stolen bases. Leo Justin and
Joseph Mannix struck out three batters each on the mound.
The Wildcats are next in action on Saturday, February 21st when they host Kenyon College for a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm.
