Misenheimer, N.C. - Pfeiffer defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 13-3 in baseball on Tuesday evening.
The Wildcats struck for two runs in the top of the first, as
Carlitos Ramirez singled through the right side of the infield to drive in
Jordan Brown and
Sami Nezaj. The hosts plated three in the bottom of the frame to take the lead as the game settled in at that point. Only one run was scored over the next four innings. JWU scored again in the top of the sixth, as a wild pitch brought Nezaj home. The Falcons got two in the bottom of the frame and then added seven more in the seventh for the final margin.
Brown reached base safely in each of his three plate appearances, raising his average to .343 and his on-base percentage to .547.
Hunter Conn-Beck pitched six innings, allowing five earned runs while walking two and striking out two.
The Wildcats return home on Saturday, March 14th when they host SUNY-Poly for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00pm. Games will be played at Huntersville Athletic Park.
