Marion, N.C. - Mount Saint Mary defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 8-3 in the final game of their weekend series on Sunday afternoon.

The Knights scored twice in the second and third innings to build a 4-0 lead until the Wildcats scored two of their own in the fourth. Dev Hernandez had a RBI single and then scored himself when Sami Nezaj was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
 
After Mount Saint Mary plated another two runs in the top of the fifth, JWU clawed a run back on Hernandez's RBI double. The Wildcats were unable to score again, as the Knights added two insurance runs in the final four innings.

John Quninones pitched 4.1 innings, allowing six runs, walking one and striking out another. Hernandez had two hits, and drove in two at the plate.
