Greensboro, N.C. - Guilford defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 18-4 in baseball on Tuesday afternoon.
Sami Nezaj gave the Wildcats an early lead with a solo homer in the first. JWU added single runs in the second and third, but couldn't keep pace with the Quakers, who built a 7-3 lead after three innings. Guilford added eleven more runs over the final three innings.
Nezaj and
Stetson Stack each had two hits and scored a run.
John Quinones was the most effective pitcher for the Wildcats, throwing 1.1 innings, allowing just one hit, one walk, and striking out one.
