Swannanoa, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Warren Wilson 2-0 in women's soccer on Thursday afternoon in a game recheduled from Tuesday due to rainy weather in western North Carolina.
Olivia Kieffer scored both Wildcat goals, first in the twelfth minute when she roofed a ball from just inside the top of the penalty area off of a feed from
Azalianna Absalom, and then in the nineteith minte when
Elliette Kinney threaded a pass through two defenders that landed perfectly at Kieffer's feet, from which she beat the keeper.
JWU doubled up Warren Wilson in shots, 8-4, and earned 4 corner kicks to just 1 for the Owls. Absalom also had two shots, one of which was on frame for the Wildcats.
Zoe Balmer made one save to pick up her second consecutive shutout.
