Pineville, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 3-0 win over William Peace on Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats scored twice in a sixty-two second span early in the first half to build a lead they would not relinquish. Jessica Garman collected a pass from
Azalianna Absalom and slotted it past Pace goalkeeper Courtney Dugan to open the scoring. Absalom then found herself on the receiving end of an
Ingrid Garcia helper as she scored her second goal of the season to put JWU two goals ahead.
Hannah Greene added a third with just over ten minutes remaining in a game that was moved up to beat the extreme heat forecasted for later in the day.
William Peace was held to just two shots on the day, and a lone corner kick. Garman and Absalom each had two shots to lead the Wildcats.
JWU is next in action on Wednesday, September 9th, when they travel to Pfeiffer for a 6:00pm kickoff.
