Demorest, GA - The Johnson & Wales men's and women's tennis teams traveled to Piedmont University on Saturday afternoon for matches against the Lions. The Wildcats fell 8-1 in the women's match and 9-0 in the men's match.

The doubles team of Eboni Montague and Maira Teurel earned the only point of the afternoon for JWU, winning 8-7 (7-5) in the #2 doubles match. Each of the other eight women's matches were straight set victories for Piedmont.

Jonathan Millwood battled Piedmont's Ryan Raugh in the #1 singles match before falling 6-3, 6-3. Samuel Wilder took 3 games from Cooper Kework in the #2 singles match. The Wildcats were blanked in the other singles matches and fell in each of the doubles matches as well.

The teams are back in action on Thursday when they play host to Ferrum at 3:00pm.
