Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales head tennis coach Cory Neal is excited to announce the signing of Justin Gray to the Wildcats' 2026 recruiting class.

As a freshman at Coastal Alabama North in 2024-25, he competed at the No. 1 singles position, earning a No. 24 regional singles ranking and finishing the fall season ranked No. 15 in regional doubles. He then continued his career at Bevill State Community College in 2025-26, where he was named to the Fall 2025 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Gray plans to major in Business Management at Johnson & Wales. When asked why he decided to continue his career at JWU he replied, "I believe it is a program with a good mentality, and a place I can grow."

Coach Neal feels Gray will elevate the level of the men's tennis team. "Justin brings two years of JUCO experience and a level of competitiveness that I believe will make an immediate impact on our program. We expect him to contribute as a starter in both singles and doubles, and I'm excited to see how he continues to develop. He has set a goal of reaching a 10 UTR, and his work ethic and motivation give me confidence that he will continue pushing himself to that level. We're thrilled to have Justin joining the Wildcats and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes both on and off the court."
