Columbia, SC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's cross country team earned their fourth top ten finish of the season Saturday at the Akiah McMillan Invitational.
Yenilitza Roman again paced the Wildcats, finishing 15th overall in 24:53.4 across the 6k distance. The trio of
Kacie Delaughter (28:16.7/52nd),
Betzy Hilario Urieta (28:20.5/53rd), and
Cassie Bayes (28:33.5/55th) finished together, while
Georgia Poirier was the fifth scoring runner, posting a 34:03.7 to finish 87th.
Muchima Manengu (37:22.8/100th) and
Nataly McCrary (37:41.3/102nd) were the final participating runners for JWU.
The Wildcats are next in action at the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte at McAlpine Creek Park on Friday, October 6th. Race time is 3:30pm.
