Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's tennis team won it's second consecutive match by an 8-1 score against Southwest Virginia Community College on Friday afternoon.

JWU swept the doubles matches against the undermanned Eagles. Jonathan Millwood and Sam Ciciarello took the #1 doubles match 8-0, while the remaining two doubles matches were defaulted.

Samuel Wilder won the #1 singles match 6-0, 6-0 over Jaxon Collier. Dylan Hight dropped the first set 6-4 before rallying to win the second set by the same score, and then dispatched Jay Fuller 10-4 in the third to take singles match #2. The Wildcats also won singles matches 3, 4, and 5 by default.

JWU's rescheduled match today against Ferrum has been postponed due to wet courts. A new makeup date has not yet been announced.
