Virginia Beach, VA - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's and women's golf teams continued their Spring schedule at the Marlins Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University on Monday and Tuesday.
The Wildcat women posted the program's best ever finish in a field as large as the Marlin Invitaitonal, finishing 4th. They posted scores of 358-373-731 to finish three shots ahead of Susquehenna. Hardin-Simmons won the tournament with a score of 680.
Meadow Ciccarella shot an 81 in the opening round as part of her two round total of 172. She finished 6th.
Michaela Hawkins shot 88-90-178 to come home tied for 13th.
Isabelle Wood was 18th after rounds of 90-93-183.
JWU's men posted an 8th place finish with rounds of 322-327-649. William Peace University's total of 610 was good enough for the tournament title.
James Dintino led the Wildcats with a pair of 77's to finish tied for 7th.
Kyle Duggan improved 16 positions after Monday's opening round with a 78 in the second round to come home in 32nd place.
