Charlotte, NC - Charlotte's Enijah Gary has signed with JWU Charlotte softball, becoming the tenth member of the 2025 recruiting class.
Gary attends Hawthorne Military and Global Leadership Academy in Charlotte, and play softball at West Charlotte High School. Gary helped lead the Lions to 27 wins during her four year high school career, including three NCHSAA 3A state playoff appearances. Gary hit .500 in 2025, finishing second on the team in both hits (11) and RBI (15). She tied for the team lead in home runs with three. On the mound, she went 7-4 with an 8.86 ERA, striking out 116. Gary also earned Conference Pitcher of the Year honors in 2024 in the 3A/4A Queen City Conference.
She is hte daughter of Leslie Rodriquez-Gary and plans to major in Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management at Johnson & Wales. "

& Wales University was the perfect choice for me because it offered business programs and tons of diversity on campus," remarked Gary when asked why she chose to attend JWU. "Plus, the opportunity to continue playing softball while pursuing my academics was a huge draw."
