Charlotte, NC - Seven Hope has signed with JWU Charlotte softball, becoming the ninth member of the 2025 recruiting class. 

Hope attends Independence High School in Charlotte. She was a starter on the Patriots' 2025 team that went 23-3 and won the Southwestern 4A Conference championship.Independence won 70 games across Hope's four years, advancing to the NCHSAA 4A state playoffs each year. Hope batted .284 in 2025, with 12 extra base hits, including three home runs. She was a two-time Southewestern 4A All-Conference selection. Hope plays club softball for LLG McCauley.

She is the daughter of Tonya and Carlos Hope and plans to major in Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management at Johnson & Wales. Hope chose JWU, "because it's in my hometown and gives me the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love." 

Coach Orr thinks Hope has all of the tools to do great things at JWU. "We cannot be happier to have Seven join the pack. She brings athleticism, grit, and strong character to our team. I'm eager to see how quickly she develops within our program over four years."
