Pineville, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer defeated Pfeiffer 3-1 at OrthoCarolina Sportsplex on Wednesday night.

Jessica Ralph opened the scoring in the twenty-third minute when she, after collecting a pass from Olivia Kieffer twenty-five yards out from goal, fired a ball just over the outstretched arms of Falcon goalkeeper Kaylee Ollis and just under the crossbar. Pfeiffer answered just nine minutes later as Lily Bido similarly beat Wildcat netminder Zoe Balmer to the top corner. 

JWU restored it's advantage ten minutes before the break, as Mia Townson served a ball in from the right wing that Jessica Garman outfought a Pfeiffer defender to win, and then fired into the back of the Falcon net.

Hannah Greene tallied her second goal of the season late in the second half to ensure the win for the Wildcats. Their 4-2 start after six games, matches the best in program history. The 2017 team also started 4-2 in what would eventually be a 10 win season.

The Wildcats are back at home on Saturday, September 20th as they welcome in Berry College for a 12pm contest. JWU will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday.
