Harrisonburg, Va. - Eastern Mennonite defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 3-0 in women's soccer action on Friday evening.

The Royals broke out on top in the game's ninth minute as Leah Beachy converted from the penalty spot following a JWU foul inside the penalty area. The Wildcats were able to reverse that trend in the second half, outshooting the Royals 11-4, putting three of those shots on target. None found the back of the net however, as EMU added a third tally a half hour into the period. Jessica Ralph led JWU with 3 shots, while Azalianna Absalom and Jessica Garman added 2 apiece.
