Box Score Lynchburg, Va. - Johnson & Wales defeated Holllins 7-0 in women's tennis on Friday afternoon.

Anna Katherine Medlin and Paloma Nitcholas teamed to win the #1 doubles match 6-0 over Hollins's Rachel Hull and Zilina Robinson-Knox. Payton Abrams and Kayla Gibson secured the doubles point as they prevailed 6-3 in the #2 doubles tilt.

Nitcholas won love and love in the #2 singles match over Robinson-Know, while Medlin also picked up a straight set win over Hull in the #1 match. Abrams defeated Jade Thompson 6-2, 6-1 in #3 singles and Yasmine Wadleigh knocked off Sadie Henshaw 6-2, 6-0 in #4 singles. Gibson and Danielle Brake had walkover wins in the final two singles matches.

JWU continues their weekend trip to Virginia as they take on Roanoke College on Saturday, 2/21 at 10am.
