Women's Tennis Drop Senior Day Matchup against Salem

Box Score Charlotte, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Salem College on senior day, falling to a 2-5 all-time series against the Spirits.

The Wildcats No 1 doubles Anna Katherine Medlin/Paloma Nitcholas won their lone opening match 6-4. The Spirits answered back claiming both No 2 and No 3 doubles to earn the doubles point.
In singles action, the Wildcats marked two points behind two straight set victories from No 1 Anna Medlin and the senior at No 6 Danielle Brake. Medlin earned a 6-3, 6-3 victory, Brake followed on another solid 6-4, 6-3 performance. Kayla Gibson took four games at No 4 singles in the second set but ultimately fell. Nitcholas won two games across two sets in No 2 singles.

The Wildcats compete for the final time in the 2025-26 season as they travel to Raleigh, N.C. to play against Meredith College. First serve is set at 3:00pm on April 17th.
