Central, S.C. - The Johnson & Wales women's track and field team opened its Spring schedule on March 13th at the Gotta Run Invite, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University.

Mia Townson and Asani Gerald led the Wildcats in the sprints, as they finished ninth and tenth, respectively, in the 400 meters.

Ava Ferraro finished third in the triple jump, posting a best jump of 30' 9". Abby Vandiver posted an sixth place finish in the discus, throwing a 32.25m.

The Wildcats next compete in the Blue Bear Invitational on March 28th in Salisbury, N.C.
