Salisbury, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales women's track and field team participated in the Blue Bear Inviatational on Saturday.

Abby Vandiver finished 9th in the discus with a top throw of 31.84 meters. Ava Ferraro also posted a top ten finish in the long jump, leaping 4.91 meters to finish in 6th place. She finished 7th in the triple jump, with a top leap of 9.48 meters. Kalin Lincoln threw a new personal best 23.11 meters in the javelin, good enough for 9th place.

On the track, Aitana Matuty ran a new personal best 6:22.90 in the 1500 meters, finishing in 11th place. 

The Wildcats are next in action on Friday, April 3rd when they participate in the JCSU Invitational hosted by Johnson C. Smith University.
