Lynchburg, Va. - Johnson & Wales defeated Hollins 6-1 in women's tennis on Saturday.
The Wildcats swept the three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match.
Anna Katherine Medlin and
Covey Alexander teamed in the #1 doubles match to defeat Rachel Hull and Zilina Robinson-Knox 6-2.
Payton Abrams and
Kayla Gibson defeated Sasha Mingo and Anna Starman 6-1 in #2 doubles, while
Danielle Brake and
Patricia Byars blanked Jade Thompson and Sadie Henshaw 6-0 in the 3rd doubles tilt.
Medlin, Alexander, and Brake all won their singles matches in straight sets. They were joined by
Kayla Gibson and
Kallie Moore in earning singles victories for JWU.
The Wildcats are next in action on Tuesday, March 17th as they travel to Johnson C. Smith for a 2:00pm match.
