Virginia Beach, Va. - The Johnson & Wales men's golf team participated in the Marlins Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University on Monday and Tuesday. The Wildcats battled cool temperatures and a wet course to finish in seventh place.
JWU shot rounds of 322-326 for their 648 total.
Johnathan Le was the highest finishing Wildcat. He rebounded from an opening round 81 with a second round 77 to move eleven places up the leaderboard into a tie for 21st place.
Bowen Kicklighter shot rounds of 77-84-161 to finish tied for 30th.
Garrett Hartley had two steady rounds, shooting 82-81-163 for a T-36th finish.
Jake Weerts (82-84-166/T-44) and
Parker Legreid (82-87-169/52nd) were the other two scoring players for the Wildcats.
JWU is next in action on Tuesday, April 7th when they travel to Johnson City, Tenn. to take part in the East Tennessee Collegiate, hosted by Milligan University.
