Hilton Head Island, S.C. - Lebanon Valley defeated the Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's and men's tennis teams 6-1 and 4-3, respectively, in the first match of the PTR Spring Tennis Fest on Sunday.

Anna Katherine Medlin won her third consecutive match in the #1 singles, defeating Lebanon Valley's Sarah McComas 6-2, 6-3. Danielle Brake pushed Laken Kelly in the #6 singles affair, losing 6-1, 6-4. 

The Lebanon Valley men swept the three doubles matches for what would prove to be the deciding point. The Wildcats battled to a 3-3 stalemate in singles. John Billinis took down Zack Schrader 7-5, 6-4 in the #1 singles match. Maxwell Frederick won a third set tiebreak 10-7 to prevail in the #3 singles match 7-6 (7-6), 3-6, 1-0, and Cole Goodman-Gary won the #6 singles tilt 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 over Colin Brusse.

The teams are next in action on Tuesday, March 3rd when they take on Clark at 12:30pm in Hilton Head. at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center.
