Indian Trail, N.C. - Second ranked Lynchburg defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 29-0 in baseball on Thursday afternoon. Lynchburg is the highest ranked opponent ever faced by a Johnson & Wales Charlotte team.

The Hornets scored in each inning after the first. JWU was limited to one hit, a Marco Fernandez double in the sixth inning. John Quinones was the most effective pitcher on the afternoon for the Wildcats, pitching one inning, allowing just one unearned run and walking one batter.

JWU is next in action on Wednesday, Arpil 8th when they welcome Guilford College for a 6:00pm game. It will be played at CaroMont Health Park in Gastonia, N.C.
