Men's Soccer Draws 3-3 with USC-Lancaster

Box Score

Pineville, N.C. - The USCAA #6 Johnson & Wales men's soccer team claimed a 3-3 draw with USC-Lancaster on Tuesday at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.

Freshman striker Weeb Isaac scored twice and assisted Jalen Jackson for a third goal as the Wildcats (14-0-2) extended their unbeaten streak to 18 matches dating back to 2016.

The Lancers took the lead in the 22nd minute on a brilliant effort from Roberto Palmonino-Mendoza, who curled his 18-yard effort into the top corner past goalkeeper Kennedy Little.

Isaac responded just over a minute later, finishing a cross from Imani Washington, and Jackson would give the Wildcats a 2-1 advantage in the 31st on a breakaway.

Lancaster's Scott Endres drew the teams level in the 74th minute, heading home a cross from Palomino-Mendoza, but Isaac restored the lead in the 78th minute, finishing a cross from Jackson to make it 3-2.

Shavoy Brown would deny the hosts their 10th straight victory late in regulation, pouncing on a rebound in the 82nd minute to even the score at 3-3.

Little finished with three saves on the day for Johnson & Wales.

The Wildcats will resume play on Friday when they host USCAA #17 Christendom College at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.  Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
