Sumter, SC - The Johnson & Wales University men's soccer team continued its flying start to the season, winning 3-0 on the road at USC-Sumter on Friday.

Jalen Jackson, Jason Rosales, and Weeb Isaac all scored for the Wildcats (4-0), who didn't allow a shot on goal and have now posted four clean sheets to start the season.

"I thought, defensively, we were very good today," said head coach James Drzewiecki.  "We did a better job of carrying out the gameplan and keeping Sumter's attack at bay.  Sumter has some good players going forward, so I'm glad we were able to pass the test and keep them bottled up today.  For our guys to win on the road four times in eight days, that's pretty impressive.  We'll give them a few days off and hopefully we can keep the momentum going as the month progresses."

Jackson opened the scoring in the 15th minute of play after running on to Pablo Morera's inch-perfect through ball.  The junior striker slotted the ball into the corner to pick up his sixth goal of the season.

Johnson & Wales squandered a host of chances in the first half, and wouldn't add to their lead until the 54th minute as Rosales latched on to a loose ball in the box and fired home for his second goal of the year.

Isaac capped the scoring six minutes from full time, taking a lead pass from Ariel Morales and beating his defender on the right wing before firing home for his fourth goal of the season.

Goalkeepers John Lowes and Kennedy Little once again combined for the clean sheet, but were not called on to make any saves.

The Wildcats will resume play on Sept. 10 when they travel to Oxford, GA, to play Oxford College of Emory University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
