Ball Earns C2C Player of the Week Honors

Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte freshman striker Makayla Ball was named Coast-To-Coast Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 3rd.

Ball not only had a hat trick in the Wildcats' 5-0 win over Warren Wilson on October 31st, she had a natural hat trick, scoring three consecutive goals in the match. She doubled the JWU lead ten minutes before halftime when she finished a deflected shot just in front of the Warren Wilson goal, and scored again four minutes after halftime, again cleaning up a loose ball just in front of the Owl net. She completed the natural hat trick four minutes after that when she volleyed a Gina Rumschlag pass into the roof of the net.

Ball, a Kings Mountain, N.C. native, now has 4 goals in her sixteen appearances this season.
