Accomplished Junior Player Bowen Kicklighter Inks With JWU Golf

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales men's golf continues to grow, as Bowen Kicklighter has signed with the Wildcats, becoming the second member of the 2025 recruiting class.

Kicklighter graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School, where he was a star player for the Yellow Jackets. He earned medalist honors, shooting an even par 72 at the 2-AAA area golf championships. He followed that up with a tied seventh place finish GHSA state championships, helping Southeast Bulloch to a tied fifth place finish. Kicklighter has an impressive junior golf resume as well, highlighted by a tied second place finish at the 2024 SJGT Low Country Junior Classic. He finished tied eleventh at the SJGT Sea Palms Junior Classic on June 3rd.

He is the son of Anna and Les Kicklighter and plans to major in Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis at Johnson & Wales. He chose to attend Johnson & Wales because it gave him the opportunity, "to play golf at the next level." He continued, "I am really excited to take this next step in my journey as a collegiate golfer at JWU. I know the team and I will work well together and put in the work to achieve the goals we set for the upcoming season. Go Wildcats!" Kicklighter is an Honor Graduate at SBHS.

Johnson & Wales head coach Luke Gossert feels Kicklighter will be the bedrock of Wildcat teams for the next four years. "Bowen is as solid as they come. He's built a strong foundation for himself, and I'm excited to watch him continue to grow in every area of his life. He will make an incredible addition to JWU Golf"
