Moana Reid is excited to announce the signing of Taylor Green to the 2025 recruiting class.
Green is a 5'10" middle blocker that recently graduated from Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, She was a key part of a Mavericks team that won 14 matches in 2024, earning a berth in the 2024 NCHSAA 4A state playoffs. Green finished second on the team with a .229 hitting percentage, recording 95 kills. She was also second in total blocks with 27. She plays club volleyball for Queen City Volleyball Academy, and has won a MVP award there.
Green is the daughter of Lakisha Stowe and Rod Green, and plans to major in Business Administration at Johnson & Wales. Three reasons drew Green to become a Wildcat;Â "It's close to home, it's in the city, and has lots of opportunities!" replied Green when asked. She was an A-B honor roll student at MCHS.
Coach Reid is excited to see Green develop while at JWU. "Taylor brings raw talent to our offense. She is a passionate player that is committed to perfecting her craft. She is extremely coachable, and full of personality. I can't wait to see Taylor's growth as a Wildcat!"Â
