Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte volleyball team was picked to finish seventh in the Coast-To-Coast Conference preseason coaches poll released today.
JWU received 8 points in the coaches poll. 2024 C2C champion Christopher Newport was tabbed as the favorite, as they tallied 36 points and six of the seven first place votes.
The Wildcats begin their second season under the direction of head coach
Moana Reid. The team features 11 newcomers, 10 first year players and transfer
Hailie Gordy that will join nine returning players.
Loshi Ward earned USCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors as a freshman setter last season, totaling 496 assists and 35 service aces. JWU's top returning point scorer is sophomore outside hitter
Kalin Lincoln, who totaled 233 points in 2024, recording 184 kills and a team-high 38 service aces.
The Wildcats begin their first ever season as the member of a conference for volleyball in 2025, and will play in the first regular season contest across Division III in any sport when they take on Sweet Briar at 10:00am on Friday, August 29th.
