Georgia's Kynzie McBride Signs With JWU Softball

Charlotte, N.C. Kynzie McBride from Alpharetta, Georgia has signed with Johnson & Wales Charlotte softball, becoming the sixth member of the 2026 recruiting class.

McBride is a lefthanded pitcher and infelder that plays for the Bombers 18U Green club softball team. She has earned All-Region and All-State honors during her prep career.

She is the daughter of Sherri and John McBride and plans to major in Baking & Pastry Arts at Johnson & Wales. When asked what drew her to become a Wildcat, she replied, "I've always loved baking and softball, so to have a school where I could do both is a dream come true." She earned academic excellence distinction each of her four years in high school.

JWU head softball coach Courtney Orr is absolutely thrilled to have McBride join the team. "Kynzie is a special find that we've had our eye on for a while, and we couldn't be more excited to have her part of our program. She's going to bring hard work and compete for us on the mound and in other areas of the field. Can't wait to see what's in store for Kynzie!"
