Wallace's 34 Leads Women's Basketball Past SCFAM

Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Women's Basketball Team hosted SC Faith A&M on Wednesday. JWU raced out to a 14-0 lead to begin the game and never looked back. The lead would grow to as large as 48 points in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats dispatched the Ragin' Bulls 88-47. 

The Wildcats shot 45% from the field while holding the Ragin' Bulls to 23%. The hosts also outrebounded SCF A&M 54-29. additionally, JWU held an advantage in points off turnovers, outscoring their opponents 39-18.  Justice Wallace had a new career high 34 points to go with her 14 rebounds and 4 steals. Jamyah Montissol had 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assists. Jada Morgan added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists for the homestanding Wildcats.

"I am proud of the effort and the way our team played together tonight," commented JWU Head Coach Ashley Raley-Ross. "They had fun on the court and it showed!"

The Wildcats are currently ranked #12 in the latest USCAA D2 Coaches Poll and now sit at 5-6 on the season. Their next game comes when they host Voorhees College on January 9th at 7:00 pm.
