Women's Basketball Crests Century Mark In Win

Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball team hit the century mark for the third time in program history Wednesday night in a 102-76 win over Maine-Fort Kent.

How It Happened:
  • The Wildcats led by 10 early in the first quarter before Maine-Fort Kent rallied to close the gap to just 4 after 10 minutes.
  • The Bengals briefly took the lead halfway through the second ten minute session before JWU closed the half on a 17-6 run to take a 10 point lead at the half.
  • JWU scored the first seven points of the second half to extend their lead to 17, and were never seriously threatened in the final twenty minutes.
Key Stats:
  • For the second consecutive game, each of the ten Wildcats made at least one field goal.
  • JWU forced 30 Bengal turnovers.
  • Tanaeschia Dorsey led all scorers with 22 points to go along with 9 assists.
  • Jordan Durant had 21 points and 7 rebounds.
