Cross Country Opens Season At Catawba

Salisbury, N.C. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte cross country teams kicked off their 2025 schedule at the Fleet Feet Invitational hosted by Catawba College on Saturday morning.

The men ran the 8k course at Salisbury Community Park first, with Jorge Garcia placing 28th in his first collegiate race. He ran a 29:17.18. Liam Robinson finished 39th in 30:34.72, while Dillon Neeley came home in 32:24.10 to finish 43rd. The WIldcats' team score of 142 was good enough for fourth place overall.

Aitana Matuty was the lone Wildcat woman to compete in the event. She ran a 31:29.03 over the 5k course, finishing 44th.

The Wildcats will return to Salisbury Community Park on September 19th as they run in the Blue Bear XC Invitational hosted by Livingstone College.
