Charlotte, N.C. - The Coast-To-Coast Conference released its preseason baseball poll on Tuesday. Johnson & Wales Charlotte was picked to finish fourth by league coaches.

Salisbury headlined the 2026 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Baseball Preseason Poll, following a vote among the league's head coaches. Â The Sea Gulls earned 16 points and four first-place votes to top the rankings. Christopher Newport collected 13 points to finish second with one top vote.
Johnson & Wales begins a new era in 2026 with the addition of baseball. Veteran coach Steve Hucke will lead the Wildcats in their inaugural campaign. Hucke has a .626 career winning percentage as the coach of Rochester Community & Technical College in Minnesota and took the Yellow Jackets to the NJCAA World Series in 2011. The Wildcats have a young group mixed in with some experienced veterans. Players to watch on the mound include
Leo Justen and
McKinley Myles. JWU's offensive attack will feature middle infielder
Marco Fernandez, and
Jordan Brown is another standout. Other Wildcats to keep an eye on are
Alijah Rainey and Sami and
Jayden Nezaj.
The 2026 season starts in early February and concludes with the C2C Baseball Championship taking place May 8-9. Teams will be seeded based on conference results.
