Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte head baseball coach Steve Hucke is excited to announce the signing of Alexander Estevez as the tenth member of the Wildcats' 2026 recruiting class.

Estevez hails from Wake Forest, N.C. and attends Eastern Carolina Baseball Academy in Goldsboro, N.C. He is an outfielder that also plays club baseball for Agon Premier Select. 

Estevez is the son of Rosanna Lora and Bernie Estevez and plans to major in Business Administration at Johnson & Wales. Estevez was selected to participate in Duke University's TIP program, and is also a National Honor Society and National Achiever Society member.

Coach Hucke feels that Estevez fits the archetype of what a Wildcat baseball player should be. "Alex is the type of athlete that we look for here at JWU! He is athletic, dynamic and plays the game the right way! We are excited to have him!"
