Three Spring Sport Athletes Earn All-C2C Honors; Billinis Tabbed As Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year

Charlotte, N.C. - The Coast-To-Coast Conference has released its year end award winners for Spring championship sports and Johnson & Wales is well represented.

Baseball saw two players earn All-C2C nods. Shortstop Marco Fernandez was named to the All Coast-To-Coast 1st Team. He batted .322 this season, leading the team in hits (38) home runs (8), doubles (12), and RBI (33). His eight home runs ranked third in the Coast-To-Coast. He was also third in doubles, and eighth in RBI. Logan Howland garnered 2nd Team All Conference honors. He led the Wildcats with a .325 average, and was second to Fernandez in slugging at a .488 clip. He drew 18 walks, second most on the team. He made only one error behind the plate and threw out four attempted base stealers.

Kaydence Hassell's stellar freshman campaign earned her a place on the All Coast-To-Coast 2nd Team for softball. She batted .411 for the season, leading the team and ranking fourth in the Coast-To-Coast. She had twelve extra base hits, tied for the most on the team, and ranked second on the squad in RBI wth 26. Her .471 on-base percentage was sixth best in the conference.

Senior John Billinis earned one of the major year end awards for men's tennis as he was named the conference's Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of Year. Billinis graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Accounting and Financial Analysis last week. He earned Dean's List honors every semester of his college career, and is a two-time USCAA Academic All-American. His list of accomplishments includes being the 2025 SharkFest Winner, 2024 SRIDS Champion, recipient of the 2025 Athletic Leadership Excellence Award, and SAAC Player of the Month for March 2026. He has served as Student Government President and Vice President, SAAC Chair, team captain for the past two years, and was selected for the NCAA Student Representation Committee. He has also worked as an accounting and finance tutor. On the court, JB competed at the top of the lineup—playing #1 and #2 singles and doubles—and this year set the record for most wins all time at #1 singles. He also holds the record for best single-season doubles record and most doubles wins in a single season, and secured the team's first-ever 3–3 clinch in a win over Brevard.
