Wildcats Come Up Short in Durham.

The JWU men's basketball team took on North Carolina Central University on Friday, November 12th in Durham, North Carolina.

JWU men's basketball team was very eager, as they had the opportunity to compete against a NCAA Division I program. However, the Wildcats started off the game with poor ball protection and lack of execution on both sides of the floor.

NCCU scored the game's first 20 points before Wildcats freshman, Joseph Quispe, ended the run with a jumper at the 13:21 mark. The Eagles continued to convert JWU turnovers into fast break points as the cushion grew to as much as 50-15 at halftime.

The Wildcats were paced by sophomore guard, Michael Pugh, who netted a team-best of eight points off the bench.

Up next, Johnson & Wales travel to Pembroke, NC. to face the Pembroke Braves on Sunday, November 14th.
