Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte was well represented on the list of basketball year end award winners as announced by the Coast-To-Coast Conference on Wednesday.
Cooper Wiley from men's basketball earned 2nd Team All-C2C accolades following his outstanding sophomore campaign. The Blythewood, S.C. native led the Wildcats in scoring (13.7), rebounds (4.9), blocks (1.2), and steals (1.3). He raised his game against conference foes, averaging 15.8 points and 9.5 rebounds in those contests.
The Wildcat women saw junior
Korletta Daniels tabbed as a 1st Team All-C2C performer. Daniels, who is also from Blythewood, S.C., averaged 9.9 points and 5.2 rebounds, but made her biggest impression on the defensive end of the court, often guarding the opposing team's best player. Her season highs in points (20 vs. Regent on 2/7), and rebounds (11 vs. Warren Wilson on 11/8) both came against conference foes.
Laylah Toscano took home both Newcomer of the Year and 2nd Team All-C2C honors. The Charlotte native led the Wildcats in scoring at 14.0 points and also in rebounding at 10.5 per contest. She posted thirteen double-doubles during the season. Scored a career-high 22 points vs. Voorhees on 1/27, and pulled down a career best 19 rebounds against Warren Wilson on 2/21.

Alexius Hampton and her staff of
Jovan Hoover and
Mark Smith were named the "Bill Finney" C2C Coaching Staff of the Year. The first year staff led JWU to seventeen wins in the regular season, earning the #2 seed in this weekend's Coast-To-Coast Conference tournament. The Wildcats were 10-3 against Division III opponents, and did not lose a game against C2C opposition.
