Charlotte, NC - USCAA Division 1 foe Florida College sank 12 three-pointers as the Johnson & Wales men's basketball team fell 69-61 at home on Saturday.

The tone was set early, as the Wildcats (5-5) found themselves down 12-2 in the early going on four three-pointers by the visiting Falcons.  Florida College connected on 12-of-28 from behind the arc, including nine trifectas in the first half.

Johnson & Wales was able to chip away at the advantage, closing the score to within two early in the second half on Nicholas Crawford's layup with 14:34 remaining.  However, a 9-2 run by the Falcons over the next five minutes restored the advantage and the Wildcats would never get any closer.

Sophomore Rickey Porter led Johnson & Wales with 18 points while Crawford chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds.

McMichael Jamison led Florida College with 18 points and seven boards.

The Wildcats resume play on Monday when they host Greensboro College at 7:30 p.m.
