Box Score Charlotte, NC - USCAA #7 Johnson and Wales defeated USCAA foe Mid-Atlantic Christian 84-59 in the second game of the JWU Invitational Friday night.
The Wildcats (7-9) won their second straight game over a USCAA D-II foe, and ran their record against all USCAA D-2 teams to 4-0 this season.
A 10-0 run to start the second half, keyed by 5 points from Sherer Desinor, pushed the lead to 17 points, effectively breaking open what had been a tight contest. The lead would grow to 32 as 11 different Wildcats made baskets in the game, tying a school record.
Rickey Porter led the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points, while Brandon Cole added 10. Tolbert Holmes tied a career high with 12 points off the bench.
Will Artis led all scorers with 21 points for the Mustangs (1-13).
The Wildcats are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they wrap up the JWU Invitational by taking on College of Faith (NC) at 3pm.
