Men's Basketball Dominates Post in Win over Mid-Atlantic Christian

Charlotte, NC - The USCAA #17 Johnson & Wales men's basketball team used a dominant inside game to see off in-state rival Mid-Atlantic Christian 81-57 on Friday at the Wildcat Center.

The Wildcats (7-10) led nearly wire-to-wire, outscoring their USCAA counterparts 42-8 in the post and claiming a 47-22 rebounding advantage.

Senior forward Rickey Porter continued his scintillating form, recording his fourth consecutive double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds.  The Charlotte native finished 10-of-15 from the field.

Junior Alcyone Moore finished with 14 points for Johnson & Wales, while freshman Davian Bryan scored a career high 12 points off the bench.

The Mustangs (3-11) were led by Jeremy Vincent with 13 points.

Johnson & Wales will resume play on Saturday when they host Barber-Scotia College.  Tip-off is at 4:00 p.m.
