3 Point Barrage Pushes Wildcats Past Rams

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales set a school record with 10 first half three point baskets as they defeated Columbia International 84-69 Saturday night. 

The Wildcats (2-0) closed the first half on a 19-5 run that blew open a close game and staked themselves to a 44-23 lead. CIU (1-4) would never get closer than 14 at any point in the second half as JWU added five treys to their first half total. 

Majerle Poole notched his first career double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. He also led the Wildcats with 5 assists. Malik Bullock came off the bench to score a career-high 18 points, while grabbing 3 rebounds, dishing out 3 assists, and adding 2 steals. Robert Hobson led the Wildcats with 19 points, whie Kajuan Madden-McAfee added 12, and Alcyone Moore tallied 11 points.

JWU ventures onto the road for the first time this season on Thursday as they travel to Francis Marion. Tip time is 6pm.
