Wildcats Drop Game To Royals

Box Score

Charlotte, NC - The JWU men's basketball team traveled across Uptown Charlotte to take on Queens University this afternoon. The Wildcats fell to the 2018 NCAA D2 semifinalists, 121-76.

The Queens inside game proved to be too much for JWU, as the Royals shot 71.9% from the field, including 66 points in the paint. The Wildcats hit 12 of their 31 three point attempts, including 6 from Robert Hobson and 4 from Majerle Poole. Hobson and Poole paced the Wildcats with 22 points and 18 points, respectively. Christian Creswell also added 11 points.

Head Coach Dan Larkin had this to say on the game: "Today was a real eye opener for our team. I really liked how we played offense in the second half but we cannot allow 71% from the field if we are going to be successful this season. We grew today and we'll start preparing for Apprentice tomorrow."

JWU plays again on Dec. 19 when they travel to EMAC opponent The Apprentice School for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
