Charlotte, NC - Washington Adventist down Johnson & Wales Charlotte 91-82 in men's basketball action on Tuesday night.

How It Happened:

• The Shock jumped out to a 13-4 lead in the game's first five minutes.
• JWU responded with a 20-10 run over the next six minutes to grab a one point lead at 24-23.
• Washington Adventist pushed ahead again, and led by seven with 2:46 remaining in the half. 
• JWU closed the half on an 8-0 run and was poised to take a lead into the half before the Shock hit a halfcourt three pointer at the buzzer to lead 42-40 at the break.
• WAU built as large as an eleven point lead in the first five minutes of the second half, and still led by ten with 13:30 left.
• The Wildcats erased that lead and took a two point advantage themselves on a pair of Anthoney Ray free throws with six and half minutes left to play.
• The Shock scored 9 of the next 11 points and never led by fewer than four the rest of the way.

Key Stats:

• Ray led the Wildcats with 25 points to go along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks.
• Fred Patterson had 15 points, while Nathan Meshida scored 11 points off the bench.
• Zyrion Wilkins and Jaylen Benson-Hollinhead combined for 23 points and 13 rebounds.
