Danielle Brake Opens 2024 Tennis Recruiting Class

Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales head tennis coach Taylor Lindsay is happy to announce the signing of Danielle Brake as the first member of the 2024 recruiting class.

Brake hails from Deltona, FL and played both tennis and soccer at Deltona High School. She was a part of the number #2 doubles team for the Wolf Pack for two years, and played #4 singles this season.

She is the daughter of Peggy and Larry Brake and plans to major in Baking & Pastry Arts at Johnson & Wales. She chose JWU because she wants to pursue a career as a pastry chef. She has been awarded several scholarships from her time as part of DHS's culinary program, as well as her participation in Future Farmers of America.

She is excited to join the team in part to learn new skills and techniques to improve her play. Coach Lindsay knew immediately that Brake would be a great fit at Johnson & Wales. "From my first conversation with Danielle, I knew she would be the perfect fit for our tennis program. She loves the sport, is extremely dedicated, and a great teammate. Her high school experience will allow her to come in and help strengthen our team. I am excited to work with Danielle."
