Charlotte, NC - Kamaya Robinson has signed with Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's basketball as part of the 2025 recruiting class.
Robinson is a recent graduate of the Asheville School. She averaged 6.5 points and 4.2 rebounds for a Blues team that went 20-5 and won the NCISAA Carolinas Conference title. Asheville School also advanced to the semi-finals of the NCISAA 3A state playoffs. Robinson has played club basketball for both Team Big Time and Team Unlimited.
She is the daughter of Ashley Blankenship and plans to major in Health Science at Johnson & Wales. She was a straight A student at Asheville School. The welcoming environment and community were two of the main draws that attracted Robinson to Johnson & Wales. As far as basketball goes, she is "excited to provide my hard work and skillset for the betterment of the team."
Wildcat head coach
Jill Dunn thinks Robinson provides both physical talent and intangibles that will be of great benefit to the team. "Kamaya brings us so much energy on and off the court. She has an upbeat personality that reflects when she is on the court. Her versatility and agility at the post position will be a great asset to our team."
