Mount Holly's Kingston Womack Inks With JWU Baseball

Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte head baseball coach Steve Hucke is excited to announce the singing of Kingston Womack as the seventh member of JWU's 2026 recruiting class.

Womack is a pitcher that recently graduated from Stuart W. Cramer High School in Cramerton, N.C. He helped the Storm to a 21-6 record in 2026, tying for the team lead in wins with 5. His 0.56 ERA was tops on a team that advanced to the NCHSAA 5A state quarterfinals. Womack also scored nine runs and drove in five more as a batter. He plays club baseball for Showcase Baseball Academy - Tucci.

Womack is the son of Kelly and Kent Womack, and plans to major in Sports, Event, and Entertainment Management at Johnson & Wales. During his time at Stuart W. Cramer, Womack was honored with both pitching and sportsmanship awards from his coaches.

Coach Hucke feels that Womack has all of the necessary qualities to be a successful pitcher at the collegiate level. "Kingston is the type of pitcher who will compete on every pitch. He commands the zone well and has the ability to get the big out when needed."
